Blustery winter weather on New Year’s Eve made for a convenient disguise as a masked man robbed the the First National Bank branch location in Scott Township.

The robbery happened just after 10:00 a.m. Dec. 31, according to Scott Township police Sgt. Jeff Skees. Local police and the FBI are looking for a white man described as 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a mask, a blue hoodie underneath a beige jacket and fingerless cut-off gloves. The suspect got away with less than $1,000 cash and did not display a weapon, according to FBI special agent Michael Brokas. No one was injured.

“He walked in and started slamming counters saying ‘give me your money,'” Brokas said.

The bank, located at 1970 Greentree Road, remained closed through the morning. K-9 units swept the area after determining the suspect likely got away on foot.
