CHILD CARE

Registration for Mt. Lebanon High School’s preschool program is now open. To be eligible, children must be at least age 3 ½ years old and no older than 4 years, 10 months by March 17, 2014. The program is operated by high school students enrolled in the Advanced Child Development Course under the supervision of the child development teacher. WOMEN of Southwestern PA will sponsor its annual Symphony of Food Jan. 24 at Bella Sera Event Venue, Canonsburg, with entertainment by world-renowned mime Dan Kamin. January is Stalking Awareness Month. Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA provides information on stalking and the dangerous crime that annually affects millions of adults in the United States. Pittsburgh Glass Center will feature artists Granite Calimpong and Brent Rogers in the exhibit “Halfway to Somewhere” Feb. 7-April 20. Meet the artists 6-9 p.m. Feb. 7. Calimpong’s work is blown and cold-worked glass that is simple and clean with a focus on the form and surface. Rogers worked as a production glass blower and designer at the Glass Eye Studio.
