New St. Clair Urgent Care Center opening in Bethel Park

St. Clair Hospital will open the doors to the new St. Clair Urgent Care center at 9 a.m. Jan. 13 on the ground floor of 2000 Oxford Drive in Bethel Park, just across Fort Couch Road from South Hills Village.
Currently, the building houses several physicians’ offices and diagnostic services through St. Clair Hospital. The urgent care center will be located on the right just after entering the main door and will operate from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily, 365 days a year. Hours are shortened to 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on major holidays.
Free valet parking will be offered near the main doors from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Robert Crytzer, the hospital’s manager of media relations, said the center will be staffed by board-certified physicians, Rachel L. Schroer, D.O., Matthew S. Cooper, D.O., and Ediri A. Montoya, M.D., along with registered nurses, radiology technicians and patient registrars.
The urgent care center will treat injuries and illnesses requiring immediate care, but not serious enough for a visit to the emergency room. Treatment will be available for sprains, strains, cuts, fractures that can be splinted at the center, sinus infections, colds and flu, sore throats, ear infections and urinary tract infections.
Patients are anticipated to be treated in about an hour on normal days. The center will also stock commonly-prescribed medications, and all major insurances will be accepted, Crytzer said.
There will be a lab, including urine analysis and rapid strep testing. Sports physicals can be performed, and X-rays will be available in the center.
“We believe the hundreds and hundreds of patients who use our services and see our physicians at the St. Clair Hospital Outpatient Center – Village Square every day will use the new St. Clair Urgent Care as well,” Crytzer said. “It is a name that they know and trust. And patients also know that, if necessary, they can assess the diagnostic services in the same building once they leave St. Clair Urgent Care.”
The hospital will send a mass mailing to homes in the South Hills that will include a refrigerator magnet announcing the new urgent care center.
In addition to the new center, Cafe 4 will open adjacent to the center on Jan. 6, where patients and visitors will be able to buy breakfast and lunch.
