At St. Louise de Marillac School, Upper St. Clair, Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated along with the 50th anniversary of the school. This year’s theme is “50 Years Alive in Faith.” Activities will include a talent show, faith rally and a visit by WTAE-TV’s Mike Clark at 9 a.m. Jan. 30.

At St. Valentine Church, Bethel Park, the Men’s Club will hold its 46th Annual Stag Fish Fry on Jan. 31 at Frawley Hall. There will be raffles, prizes and social games. Food will be served from 6-9 p.m. Must be 21 years old to attend. Tickets are $25.

At Chabad of the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon, a new six-week course titled “Jewish Identity” will be offered through Rohr Jewish Learning. Explore what it means to be a Jew in the Free World and examine the personal and religious struggles that individuals and communities confront as they face the challenges of changing times. At Heinz Hall, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will celebrate Catholic Schools Night Feb. 8. The student performance will begin at 7:15 p.m. in the grand lobby followed by the concert at 8 p.m. Music director Manfred Honeck and the women of the Mendelssohn Choir will present Gustav Holst’s “The Planet.”
Following the concert, students, teachers, parents and administrators will meet Maestro Manfred Honeck in the Dorothy Porter Simmons Regency Rooms.
