Solar Concert Series presents Chet Vincent
July 2
Chet Vincent & The Big Bend
Chet Vincent will perform July 2 as part of the Solar Concert Series, a project of SLB Radio Productions, Inc., Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh and the New Hazlett Theater.
Chet Vincent, who will perform a solo acoustic set, leads the five-piece rock band, Chet Vincent & The Big Bend. The group combines the raw electric energy of heavy blues and modern indie and alternative rock with haunting and sometimes heartwarming songwriting in the spirit of the American folk tradition.
Experience the Northside’s seventh annual summer concert series with free live music outside, powered by a solar-energy sound system. The acoustic-based performances by local and regional artists are open to all ages. Concerts take place 12:15-1 p.m. Wednesdays in July and August at the recently dedicated Buhl Community Park at Allegheny Square, located in front of Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. The series’ unique eco-friendly sound system captures the sun’s rays through solar panels, creating a more sustainable method of electricity than that used by traditional P.A. systems.
