BETHEL PARK

Bicyclist injured: Ronald Schiller, 17, of Clifton Road, was seriously injured in a bicycle accident at 10:35 a.m. July 10, when he lost control of his bike on Logan Road near Eastview Drive, and struck a house, borough police said. He was taken to UPMC-Mercy in Pittsburgh with severe injuries, police said.

CECIL TOWNSHIP

Man arrested: Brian Paul Slebonick, 30, of 87 Wilson Ave., Cecil, was charged with two counts of burglary and theft July 8, after stealing jewelry, cash and tools from his relatives, township police said. Slebonick was arraigned before Senior District Judge Jay Dutton July 8 and was placed in the Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond. He is charged with entering the home of his sister, Andrea Slebonick, 5 DePaoli Road, June 21, and with stealing $2,000 in cash from a desk drawer, police said. He is charged with entering the home of Arnold White and another sister, Miranda Lee Slebonick, between 2 p.m. June 23, and 2 p.m. June 25, and with stealing three women’s diamond and gold rings and a diamond tennis bracelet from a jewelry box in her bedroom, along with three hand tools from Arnold White, both of whom live at 255 N. DePaoli Road, police said. The total value of the items stolen from North DePaoli Road is $3,900, police said. Police located the tools at a tool shop in Bridgeville and found Slebonick at his home. He admitted to the burglaries and thefts, police said.

MT. LEBANON

Drug charges: Alice Mattern, 53, of 311 Akron Ave., Pittsburgh, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, plus public intoxication, at 8:16 p.m., June 28, on Bower Hill Road, police said.

Accident: Kevin Gallick, 47, of 1310 Cathell Road, South Park, was charged with accident involving unattended property on Mt. Lebanon Boulevard, at 11:14 a.m. June 30, police said.

Simple assault: Andreas Veneris, 46, of 610 Rockwood Avenue, Pittsburgh, was arrested and charged with simple assault following an incident on Rockwood Drive at 10:51 a.m. July 4, police said.

Criminal mischief: Jeffrey Heiskell Jr., 31, of 217 Vee Lynn Drive, Mt. Lebanon, received a citation for criminal mischief, and Eileen Sipes, 61, of 115 Mulkerin Drive, Pittsburgh, received a citation for failure to yield to a pedestrian, during the same incident on Cedar Boulevard at 4:45 p.m. July 8, police said.

Two unknown men entered a residence on Pinewood Drive at 7:43 -p.m. on July 2, police said.

Fraud: Personal information was used to open an account from a resident on Foxland Drive. The fraud was reported at 10:17 a.m. July 5, police said.

PETERS TOWNSHIP

Money stolen: A locked cabinet in Paramount Senior Living, 240 Cedar Hill Drive, was entered and a resident’s $100 in cash was stolen before 7:23 p.m. July 9, township police said.

One injured: Driver Shari L. Hottel, 39, of 528 Norman Ave., Finleyville, complained of a back injury and was taken to Jefferson Hospital for treatment following a rear-end-type collision at 8:05 a.m. July 11, township police said. Hottel told police she was driving west on Venetia Road, and was stopped for another vehicle making a left turn onto Sugar Run Road. When traffic began to move again, Hottel said she looked at a store parking lot, and when she looked back at traffic, a truck was stopped attempting to make a left turn onto 698 Venetia Road, police said, and she could not stop before striking the rear of the truck, police said. The driver of the truck, Andrew D. Swearingen, 26, of 101 Ridge Road, Monongahela, was not injured.

David James Zollars, 25, of 375 Dark Hollow Road, Waynesburg, was charged with violating the drug act after police found drug paraphernalia and suspected synthetic marijuana in his vehicle at a gas station at 3841 Washington Road, at 12:15 a.m. July 12, township police said. Zollars was initially found parking on East McMurray Road at the intersection of McClintock Road, and told police he was lost and needed to go to Washington Road, police said. The officer was leading Zollars along East McMurray Road when the officer noticed Zollars’ vehicle was not behind the patrol car. The patrolman waited until Zollars drove past and watched as he turned on to Washington and in to the gas station, police said. Zollars was seen shaking and said he needed to get to Waynesburg. Police noticed what appeared to be marijuana on the front seat and a search of the vehicle found a syringe and needle that Zollars said wasn’t his, police said.
