After two scoreless periods, Bethel Park (19-3) exploded for four goals and blanked Pine-Richland, 4-0, to advance to the Penguins Cup finals set for 8:45 p.m. March 17 at the Consol Energy Center.

Fifty-eight seconds into the final frame, Christian Siak ignited the barrage of shots on goal against Isaac Stephen. The Rams’ netminder had made 25 stops before Siak found the back of the net. After taking the puck from Derek Lesnak and Jake Worcester just inside the blue line, he slapped a shot from the right side into the net.

Less than two minutes later, Jake Worcester staked BP to a two-goal advantage. Lesnak assisted.

When Siak and Worcester struck again a little more than five minutest into the period the Hawks were bound for the PIHL Class AAA championships.

Siak scored, off an assist from Evan Oakley, at 3:23. Worcester scored on the power play at 5:18. Siak and Spencer Bawcom assisted the tally.

While the Hawks finished with 40 shots on goal, William ‘Tre’ Lowe turned back 24 attempts on the net by the Rams and earned the shutout.
