Community College of Allegheny County will host “Ask for Directions-CCAC Orientation” as part of its Passport to Success enrollment workshop series from 6-8 p.m. March 20 at all four CCAC campus locations.

The workshop is free. No reservations are required. For more information, email admissions@ccac.edu or visit www.ccac.edu.

• Free general information session, 6 p.m. March 26, South Campus, Room A408. Ask questions and get answers on a wide range of topics about CCAC, the admissions process, financial aid, academic programs and college life. Tour facilities, meet faculty and staff and learn more about program offerings. CCAC South Campus is located at 1750 Clairton Road (Route 885), West Mifflin. Bethel Park High School will host a free College Information Night for all sophomore and junior students and their parents from 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 27 in the high school auditorium.

Speaking and answering questions that evening will be Barry Duerr, associate director of admissions at the University of Pittsburgh, and Michael Rose, director of admissions at Community College of Allegheny County.

The Giant Oaks Garden Club awards a $1,000 scholarship each year to a high school senior entering into an environmental field of study or a field of biology (other than the medical field). High school guidance counselors have the scholarship packets. For more information, call Cathy Rager at 412 653-1988. Deadline to apply is April 1.

La Roche College will host an undergraduate open house for high school students and their families on from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. April 5 at the main campus in the North Hills.

Meet faculty, tour the campus, explore 50 career-focused majors and learn more about study abroad opportunities included in tuition. The event will feature an information session about financial aid, and admissions counselors will be on-site to answer questions, explain the application process and discuss merit-based scholarships. A complimentary breakfast and lunch are included.
