Adopted by the United Nations in 2007, World Autism Awareness Day will be celebrated on April 2 to shine a bright light on autism as a growing global health crisis. WAAD is a day when individuals with autism are warmly welcomed in community events around the globe.

Bradford House Historical Association will hold a history symposium beginning at 7 p.m. March 28 at W&J in Old Main. Learn about 18th Century Western Pennsylvania. Recently discovered artifacts from Braddock’s Bear Camp will be displayed. Books related to Braddock’s Expedition, the Whiskey Rebellion and local history will be sold. Winners of the middle/high school poster contest will have their posters displayed.
The first 50 registered will receive a free copy of the book “War for Empire in Western Pennsylvania.”
