Carnegie Borough’s 120th Anniversary Concert featuring legendary jazz guitarist Joe Negri and his trio takes place at 7:30 p.m. March 27 at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall, Carnegie.

The evening will also pay tribute to lifelong Carnegie resident Marcella McGrogan, retired executive director of the Historical Society of Carnegie. A reception featuring hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and a chance to chat with Negri and McGrogan will follow in the ACFL&MH’s Studio.

The Heritage Players will perform Noel Coward’s comedy farce “Hay Fever” at 8 p.m. March 28 and 29, and at 2 p.m. March 30 at the Seton Center in Brookline. Tickets are $12.

• Auditions for Arthur Miller’s classic drama “The Crucible” will take place at 1 p.m. March 29 at the Schoolhouse Arts Center, Bethel Park, and at 6:30 p.m. March 30 at the Seton Center. Actors ages 11 and up are needed. A one minute dramatic dialogue is preferred or cold readings from the script. Performance dates are June 20-22 and 27-29 at the Seton Center. Old Schoolhouse Players will hold auditions for the musical “Lucky Stiff” from 1-3 p.m. March 30 and from 7-9 p.m. March 31 at its auditorium in the Mt. Pleasant Township Community Center in Hickory.

Be prepared to sing 32 bars of an upbeat show tune (bonus points if dancing while singing). Bring a head shot (if possible) and resume.

No cold reading. Casting will be based on vocals, resume, personality and footwork.

Pittsburgh Society of Artists Guild will present “Internationally Inspired: A Response to the 2013 Carnegie International” through March 30 at 3rd Street Gallery, Carnegie. For details, call 412-276-5233.

Little Lake Theatre Company, North Strabane, will hold auditions for all plays in the 66th main stage season from noon-4 p.m. March 30.

The Hollywood Theater announces the following shows:

• Silents Please! Series will include “Hot Water” (1924) at 2 p.m. March 30, with live musical accompaniment by Dale Abraham on theater organ and Tom Roberts on piano. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for those age 65+/12- and students with valid school ID.

• “Swing Lowe Sweet Chariote,” 7:30 p.m. March 27. This urban action/drama contrasts the brutal realities of inner city street life with the struggles of maintaining a family, all from the perspective of a young, black woman. Doors open at 7. Tickets are $5.

• “The Godfather,” 7 p.m. March 28; 3 and 7 p.m. March 29; and 7 p.m. March 30. The 3 p.m. Saturday show is $5 for all seats and the Sunday show is free for Hollywood members.

• “That’s Sexploitation,” 11 p.m. March 28-29.

The St. Andrew’s Society of Pittsburgh will host a Tartan Day Celebration 10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 5 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Bethel Park.

This family-oriented event will celebrate all things Scottish with bagpipers, highland and country dancing, Celtic music, Scottish clans, workshops, Scottish food, vendor’s selling Celtic goods, raffles, children’s activities and more.

Free admission and parking.

Proceeds will benefit the Tartan Day Scholarship Fund, which provides assistance for students of the Scottish Arts.

The Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall’s annual Civil War Living History Day takes place 10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 5. Programming focuses on the aftermath of Gettysburg the Battle of the Crater and includes ongoing tours of the Post, special exhibits, a keynote speaker, re-enactors encampment and drills, Civil War authors, tours of Chartiers Cemetery and a concert by the Almost Famous blue grass band.
