South Fayette school board member Frank Morelli dies
South Fayette School Board member Frank Morelli, 46, died suddenly May 6. Morelli had been a member of the board since 2007 and a resident of South Fayette Township since 1978. He is survived by his wife Heather, and children A.J., Frankie and Bella.
According to a message to school district parents from Superintendent Dr. Bille Rondinelli, Morelli proudly and selflessly served the district in many capacities. “As an elected official and member of the Board of Directors, Frank Morelli exemplified servant leadership and volunteered his time and talents on behalf of all children,” Rondinelli said in the message sent to parents. “Frank placed the highest priority on academics and always commented on how proud he is of the district’s progress and growth. Frank remained dedicated to do whatever necessary as a board member, parent and community member to assist with the district’s growing progress.”
Professionally, Morelli was a biopharmaceutical territory sales specialist and a graduate of West Virginia University.
Funeral arrangements are pending and forthcoming.
