At Chabad of the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon, Paradigm Shift: Transformational Life Teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, a new six-session course by the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. beginning May 14.

The course is a series of local activities in Pittsburgh marking 20 years since the passing of “the Rebbe,” Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson of righteous memory. The course will explore Rabbi Schneerson’s philosophy and outlook, offering participants the chance to see things from a radically different perspective.

Attendees need not be affiliated with a particular synagogue, temple or other house of worship to attend.

At Christ U.M. Church, Bethel Park, a Widow’s Wellness Day, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. May 17. At Peters Creek Presbyterian Church, a strawberry festival will be held at 6 p.m. May 30. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children, $8 for seniors and $4 for dessert only. The menu includes fried chicken, roast beef, sides and strawberry shortcake. Proceeds to benefit missions.
