BETHEL PARK
DUI: Police reported a two-vehicle accident on Nov. 16 around 11:13 p.m. as they observed Scott Kundrat, 48, of Pleasant Street, Library, collide with another vehicle at Stoltz and Library Road. A person was injured in the other vehicle and taken to a hospital. Kundrat was arrested for DUI.
DUI, property damage: Sarah Scola, 24, of 107 Bartley Road, was arrested for DUI after she drove her vehicle into a house on Highland Road on Nov. 22, police said.
DUI, property damage: Frankie Jo Kunselman, 52, of Oaklawn Drive, Pittsburgh, was arrested for DUI after police said he was observed driving through several pieces of property in Bethel Park on Nov. 22.
DUI: Police arrested Emily Hickey, 28, of Haverhill Road, for DUI on Nov. 23 after a multiple vehicle accident she was allegedly responsible for that left three people injured.
CANONSBURG
Drug arrest: Canonsburg police arrested Nolan Threlkeld, 19, of Evans Drive, McMurray, Nov. 18 for a March drug bust in which officers arranged a marijuana buy at Wendy’s on Cavasina Drive. He was arraigned before Judge James Ellis on charges including possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police wrote Thelkeld was also in possession of marijuana “wax,” a concentrated form of the drug. Threlkeld and co-defendant Matthew Cody, of Hardwood Drive, Venetia, both waived their cases to court. Cody had been arraigned at an earlier date. Threlkeld was released on his own recognizance.
CASTLE SHANNON
Forgery: Ricky Broadnax, 24, of 1048 Indiana Ave., Glassport, was sent summons for forging vehicle documents, police said.
Disorderly conduct: Wayne Gonella, 57, was cited for disorderly conduct on Blossom Hill Road Nov. 16 at 4:40 a.m., police said.
DUI: Andrew Paolicelli, 28, of 229 Murrays Lane, Pittsburgh, was arrested for DUI along Grove Rd. on Nov. 18 at 2:10 a.m., police said.
DUI: Abbey Christensen, 24, of Brookeledge Road, Bridgeville, was arrested for DUI in the 3600 block of Library Road on Nov. 20 around 3:50 a.m., police said.
Criminal mischief: A car parked on Sixth Avenue had its tires slashed on Nov. 14. Police said it was reported around 11:30 a.m.
Phone scam: A resident on Kerryhill Drive reported to police on Nov. 14 that someone called claiming to be an IRS agent and attempted to scam the person out of money.
Theft: A resident on Home Avenue reported to police an undetermined amount of jewelry was stolen from the resident sometime before Nov. 14, police said.
MT. LEBANON
Citation issued: The Pittsburgh district office of the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement issued a citation Nov. 17 against Il Pizzaiolo restaurant, 703 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, for failing or refusing to remit $28,890 in state sales tax between Feb. 1 and May 31, state police said. The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose a penalty of up to $5,000, impose a license suspension or revocation or mandate training for licensees.
Hit and run: A parked vehicle was struck in a parking garage along Washington Road on Nov. 14, police said.
DUI: Paul Dorman, 41, 15 Bower Hill Road, was arrested Nov. 14 around 7:05 p.m. for DUI on Washington Road, police said.
Assault: Caroline Englert, 21, of 254 Cochran Road, was arrested for simple assault after a Nov. 14 incident at her residence, police said.
Harassment: Julie Diana, 50, of 903 Florida Avenue, was arrested for harassment by communication and disorderly conduct for an incident on Nov. 15, police said.
PETERS TOWNSHIP
Obstructing police: Peters Township police were attempting to serve a warrant Nov. 18 to a resident on Bower Hill Road who was on probation and ended up arresting his mother for obstruction of police duties. Crystal L. Huber-Rizzo, 50, told police at 9:04 a.m. her son was not home, and then tried to stop police from entering her Venetia home. Police found and arrested her son inside the home. Huber-Rizzo was arrested for obstruction of police work and lying to police.
Accident: A driver sustained injuries after the vehicle he was driving Nov. 19 rolled over and struck a tree. Nicholas Matthews, 29, of Churchill Road, was driving east on Justabout Road around 7:20 p.m. Nov. 19 and had become distracted while using a cell phone, police said. He drifted onto the shoulder, hit a curb and careened 50 feet from the road, striking a tree and rolling over. Matthews sustained facial lacerations and a bloody nose. Police said he was driving above the posted speed limit because he may have been on his way to the scene of a fire.
SCOTT TOWNSHIP
Theft: A representative from Vaccarello Construction reported to police the company’s fence at 50 Arch St, Carnegie, had been cut and eight heavy-duty Deka batteries were stolen sometime between Nov. 8-10, police said.
Theft, resisting arrest: Douglas Nice, 47, of 304 Magazine Street, Carnegie, was arrested for stealing metal beams and guide rails from Pittsburgh Design Service located at 1000 Gregg Street, Carnegie. Police said Nice was tazed during apprehension because he resisted arrest.
Theft arrest: Melissa Edmunds, 35, of 105 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, was arrested on Nov. 14 for a retail theft that happened Sept. 12, police said.
Theft arrest: Police arrested Tanzia Le Shawn Owens, 21, of 2900 Shadeland Avenue, Pittsburgh, for retail theft on Nov. 16.
