Peters Township High School Assistant Principal resigns two weeks into the job

Jason Marvin began his duties as the new assistant principal at Peters Township High School Sept. 15. On Sept. 29, the school board accepted his resignation.
No official reason was given and no effective date for his resignation was announced. His annual salary at Peters was $82,000.
However, on Sept. 25 the Ringgold School Board rehired Marvin for his former position as high school assistant principal at the salary he made when he resigned, $82,618.
Marvin, who has been a township resident for five years, did not attend the Peters Township School Board meeting in which his resignation was accepted.
Peters Township School Board member Jamison Hardy said he was “extremely disappointed” at Marvin’s resignation adding, “after all the time and work that went into it.”
The board did not hire anyone to fill the assistant high school principal position.
