CANONSBURG
DUI charge: Darren Orvale Lee, 43, of 510 Moore Ave., Canonsburg, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana stemming from an Aug. 1 traffic stop on East Pike Street near North Central Avenue. Police said his blood-alcohol level was almost double the .08 percent limit at which the state presumes intoxication. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Wallet stolen: Donna Surich of Chartiers Township told police Oct. 2 her wallet containing a checkbook was stolen from her purse while she was at Shop ‘n Save, 617 W. Pike St.
CASTLE SHANNON
Simple assault: Michael Magurney, 22, no known address, was arrested for simple assault and public drunkenness, at 4:03 a.m. Sept. 28, on Wilson Avenue, police said.
Drug violation: A 16-year-old boy was arrested for drug violations at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 28, on Middleboro Road, police said.
Aggravated assault: Colleen Griffiths, 34, of 807 Londonderry Drive, Castle Shannon, was sent a summons for aggravated assault and threats following an incident at 11:58 a.m. Sept. 29, police said.
Fraud: An identity theft was reported at 3:31 p.m. Sept. 29, in the 3100 block of Library Road; and fraudulent bank charges on Wilson Avenue were reported at 2 p.m. Sept. 30, police said.
CECIL TOWNSHIP
Trespass charge: David Ross Myers, 55, of Canonsburg, will be charged with criminal trespass after he allegedly forced his way into his former apartment on Blaine Avenue Sept. 29. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Theft: Thomas Taraba of 206 Railroad St., McDonald, reported at 11:45 a.m. Sept. 23, that about $10,000 in items were stolen from his residence over the summer, township police said. Stolen were two snow plows, a generator, five to 10 squares of shingles, a welder, several tires and two wheelbarrows.
Gasoline stolen: Six five-gallon gasoline cans and an unspecified amount of gasoline from two dump trucks were stolen from Avant Gardening, 59 West End Drive, McDonald, at around 3 a.m. Sept. 1, township police said. The theft was reported at 7:34 a.m. Oct. 1.
Warrant pickup: Sheila Geisler, 466 Mohican Ave., Pittsburgh, was picked up on a warrant from Beaver County at an unspecified time Oct. 1, township police said. Geisler was stopped on Southpointe Boulevard and police determined she was wanted on a warrant and was driving on a license suspended for a previous driving under the influence of alcohol charge, police said.
Burglaries: Two houses vacant and for sale were entered and copper fixtures and pipes were stolen, township police said. An employee of Pennsylvania American Water Co. was at a house at 1181 Reissing Road to disconnect the water service at 1:24 p.m. Oct. 3, when the employee noticed the house owned by Susan Schutzman was flooded and the copper pipes were missing. At 5:03 p.m. also on Oct. 3, a realtor showing a house to a prospective buyer at 520 Muse-Bishop Road, notified police copper pipes and fixtures were removed, police said. The house is owned by Leonard Rettinger.
MT. LEBANON
Hit and run: A vehicle parked on West Liberty Avenue was struck with the other driver leaving the scene, police said. The accident was reported at 3:50 p.m. Sept. 27.
DUI/drug violation: Joseph Manetta, 34, of 2848 Bingham Drive, Upper St. Clair, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and possession of drug paraphernalia, on Washington Road at 3:06 a.m. Sept. 20, police said.
Two women were arrested at 10:19 a.m. Sept. 22 on Castle Shannon Boulevard following an incident of retail theft, police said. Cynthia Golebie, 45, of 1228 Clara St., Castle Shannon, was charged with criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft, and Amanda Golebie, 23, also of 1228 Clara St., was charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy, police said.
Jamie Hernandez, 56, of 2715 Glasgow St., Sheraden, was charged with open lewdness and indecent exposure for an incident at 10:02 a.m. Sept. 24, on Washington Road, police said.
Paul Dorman, 41, of 15 Bower Hill Road, Mt. Lebanon, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and for an accident involving an attended vehicle on Washington Road at 5:35 p.m. Sept. 30, police said.
Drug violations: James Cain, 18, of 107 Sherborne Drive, McMurray, was arrested at 1:32 a.m. Oct. 1, on Washington Road for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Criminal mischief: A rock was thrown at a vehicle on Scott Road at 4:20 p.m. Sept. 26, police said.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to a credit card at 11:10 a.m. Sept. 24, police said. The report was made by a resident of Terraceview Avenue. Unauthorized charges were made to a credit card account from Ridgefield Avenue reported at 7:40 p.m. Sept. 22, police said.
Retail theft: Three men attempted to steal items from a store on Bower Hill Road at 5:12 p.m. Sept. 26, police said.
Thefts: A wallet was taken from a purse on Jonquil Place before 9:35 p.m. Sept. 21; a guitar was taken from a storage area on Washington Road before 11:20 a.m. Sept. 24; and a wallet was taken from a vehicle parked on Arden Lane before 12:08 p.m. Sept. 26, police said.
PETERS TOWNSHIP
Man jailed: Joshua D. Fuller, 24, of 59 Mobile Road, Washington, was released from Washington County jail Sept. 30, after posting $5,000 bond on a retail theft charge. Township police said Fuller attempted to shoplift cough syrup and cold medicine from CVS pharmacy, 3870 Washington Road. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis.
Police charged a 16-year-old boy from Tyrone, Blair County, with disorderly conduct Sept. 28, after he threw rocks from the Montour Trail Bridge to E. McMurray Road.
A man used the ruse of bringing two bags, including a lawn mower bag he said he was trying to replace, into Miller Hardware Store, 4275 Washington Road, McMurray, at 2:50 p.m. Sept. 28. As he was carrying the mower bag around the store, he used another bag to conceal a DeWalt drill that he stole, police said.
Man arrested: Michael Kronket, 18, of Robinhood Lane, McMurray, was charged with terroristic threats, aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and possessing an instrument of crime following an incident at 6:29 p.m. Oct. 4, township police said. Kronket arrived at a residence on Fox Run Drive, Venetia, and when the resident arrived at the door, police said Kronket entered although he was not invited in. He produced a black-handle, 6-inch knife and threatened a visitor at the house, police said. Kronket was pushed out the front door and he left, police said. He was later apprehended by police and was taken to the Washington County Jail for arraignment.
DUI arrest: Richard Davidson, 61, of N. Haft Street, Houston, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a two-vehicle accident at 9:21 p.m. Oct. 4, on Washington Road at the intersection with Crosswinds Drive, township police said. Davidson’s blood-alcohol level was almost double the legal limit of .08 percent, police said. His vehicle struck the rear of another southbound vehicle driven by Brian Stull, 34, of Louise Avenue, Morgantown, W.Va., that was stopped at a traffic signal, police said. Neither driver was injured.
UPPER ST. CLAIR
Retail theft: Nickole Ann Espy, 28, no address listed, was charged with her seventh retail theft offense after police were called to Sears, South Hills Village, after Espy was seen stealing items shortly before 1:57 p.m. Sept. 27, township police said.
Package stolen: A package valued at $300 was stolen from a porch on Highcroft Drive, township police said. The resident said UPS verified the package was delivered to the front porch. The theft was reported at 11:49 a.m. Oct. 3.
A resident of Cramden Road reported at 3:08 p.m. Oct. 4, that a debit card was used without authorization to charge $404, township police said.
