The Bible Chapel, McMurray, will hold a Country Throwdown for junior high youth from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 12. Students are encouraged to wear a flannel shirt and enjoy games, music, fellowship and s’mores by the bonfire. Registration is $15 and available online.

• Dinner and study, Wednesdays. Dinner is at 5 p.m. followed by classes at 6:30. Dinner is $6/person or $20/family.

At Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, Canonsburg, a Contemporary Service of Holy Communion is held at 5 p.m. Saturdays, and a Blended Service of Holy Communion with traditional hymns and liturgy plus praise music at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Adult education takes place at 8:15 a.m. Sundays and Bible study is held at 10 a.m. Wednesdays. Holy Communion at Friendship Village is held at 11 a.m. the third Thursday of every month.

At First UMC Church of Bridgeville, a spaghetti dinner will take place from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 18. Dinner includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. At Grace Community Church, Bridgeville, the annual Community Fall Festival will take place from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 11. This free event will include inflatables, carnival games and “trunk-or-treat.”

At Peters Creek Presbyterian Church, Venetia, a Fall Festival and Pig Roast is planned for 3:30 p.m. Oct. 18, featuring kids games, caramel apple dipping, bounce house, pig roast and fall goodies. Tickets are $10/adults, $8/seniors and $5/children. Dessert only is $5. Tickets are available by calling the church office at 724-941-6210 or at the door. Proceeds will benefit missions.
