At Peters Creek Presbyterian Church, Venetia, a Fall Festival and Pig Roast is planned for 3:30 p.m. Oct. 18, featuring kids games, caramel apple dipping, bounce house, pig roast and fall goodies. Tickets are $10/adult, $8/senior and $5/child. Dessert only is $5. Tickets are available by calling 724-941-6210 or at the door. Proceeds will benefit missions.
At South Hills Assembly, Bethel Park, a Harvest Fest will take place from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 24 for age 2 through sixth grade. The event will include giant inflatables, games, prizes, candy, popcorn, snow cones and cotton candy. Preregister at SHA 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday or online at www.southhillsassembly.org. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Students in grade 7 or older are asked to sign up to help. Donated candy can be dropped in the candy bins at the church.

At St. George Orthodox Church, Bridgeville, the 29th anniversary of its award-winning “Original Feast from the East” Mediterranean food festival is Oct. 17-19, featuring shish kabob lamb dinners, Mediterranean marinated chicken, grape leaves and kibbee, and desserts including baklawa, nut rolls and more. At St. Winifred Church, Mt. Lebanon, the Women’s Guild will hold an Oktoberfest from 2-6 p.m. Oct. 19 at Benedict Hall.
