Adult Interest Center
The Adult Interest Center at Southminster Presbyterian Church, Mt. Lebanon, offers programs on Fridays, September-June, beginning at 11 a.m. that are free and open to the public. Lunch is served at noon at a cost of $6. Reservations are not required.
• Oct. 17, the Mt. Lebanon police department will share tips on how to prevent fraud, especially as the holiday season approaches.
• Oct. 24, Grammy-nominated accordion player Kevin Solecki will perform.

SF seniors meet
The South Fayette Senior Citizens will meet at 1 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Senior Center at 515 Miller’s Run Road, Morgan. Guest speaker will be South Fayette School District Superintendent Bille Rondinelli.
Lunch/movie
Mt. Lebanon Recreation Department will hold a senior luncheon and movie matinee Oct. 21 at the Mt. Lebanon Rec Center, second floor.
Check-in is at 10:30 a.m. There will be a flu/pneumonia shot clinic (free with Medicare) and a Medicare 101 presentation. Wear black n’ gold to this Steelers-themed party.
Cost of $6, due by Oct. 17, includes a hot lunch buffet, 50/50 raffle and movie. Mt. Lebanon residency not required. Preregistration required. Walk-ins will only be accepted if space permits. A late fee will be charged. Call 412-343-3409 for more information or to register.
Senior fair
State Senator Matt Smith (D-Allegheny/Washington) will hold his annual Senior Fair 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 22 at Beth El Congregation, Scott Township, featuring “Ask the Doctor,” screenings and free flu and pneumonia shots to those age 65 and older with a Medicare or insurance card. The Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General will offer information sessions on combating senior fraud from noon-12:30 p.m. and 12:30-1 p.m.

Senior expo
Rep. Mark Mustio (R-Allegheny) and Sen. Matt Smith (D-Allegheny/Washington) will co-host their 2014 Senior Expo from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel (formerly the Crowne Plaza Hotel), Moon Township.
Flu or pneumonia shots will be provided by Rite Aid Pharmacy. Those receiving a shot should have their Medicare information with them.
