Alan and Nancy Bedell of Mt. Lebanon announce the engagement of their son, Andrew, to Marisa Baptiste, daughter of Maureen Baptiste and John Baptiste, both of North Conway, N.H.

Andrew graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 2005 and is the grandson of James and Mary Martin of Mt. Lebanon. He and Marisa graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2009 and now reside in Seattle, Wash.

Andrew is a program coordinator in the Department of Professional and Continuing Education at the University of Washington. Marisa received a master’s degree from the University of Washington in 2013 and is employed as a research scientist in the UW Land Surface Hydrology Research Group.

A January 2015 wedding will be celebrated in Seattle.
