Peters Township police found three people inside a vehicle parked in the lot of Donaldsons Crossroads shopping center at 5:57 p.m. Oct. 16, along with drugs, drug paraphernalia and a loaded pistol with the serial number scratched off.

A passenger, Tylar Malik Greenough, 18, of 302 National Ave., Brownsville, was charged with possession of a small amount of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Ruger LCP .380-caliber pistol with the serial number removed and with possession of a firearm without a license, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. Greenough was arraigned before Ellis, who set bond at $100,000. He was taken to Washington County jail.

Also charged with similar offenses was another passenger, Andrew Jacob McCarley, 18, of 202 Ash St., Brownsville, township police said. McCarley was arraigned before Ellis and jailed on $100,000 bond.

The driver and owner of the vehicle, Destiny Hart, 19, of 477 Spring St., Richeyville, will be charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

When officers arrived, McCarley admitted to smoking marijuana and police found a smoking pipe and small plastic bags in the car. Also found in the car was a pistol in a soft case with two rounds in the weapon. The serial numbers were scratched off, police said.

At the police station, McCarley was found with rolling papers in his wallet and Greenough had a pack of metal screens used in marijuana pipes, police said.

The preliminary hearing for McCarley and Greenough is before Ellis at 1:45 p.m. Oct. 21.
