At Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park, its “All Saints” fall concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 1, featuring Mendelssohn’s “Elijah” sung by the Chancel Choir with a professional orchestra. This annual two-hour concert is held on or around All Saints Day to honor those persons who have died in the past year. The works performed range from requiems to other classical or serious works with orchestra or special instruments. In the weeks leading up to the concert, persons will have the opportunity to make a donation in memory of loved ones – saints that have gone before. (PIX)At John McMillan Presbyterian Church, Bethel Park, an Installation Service for its new Senior Pastor, the Rev. Jeff Tindall, will take place at 3 p.m. Nov. 2. A reception will follow the service. Pastor Jeff was born and raised in Pleasant Hills, where his family attended Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1974 and Allegheny College in 1978. He later attended Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, where he met his wife, Karen. The couple has two children, Aaron and Juliana, who are both in graduate school.

This seminar will help those who are separated or divorced get through the holidays and discover new ways to enjoy them again.
