CANONSBURG
Officer assaulted: John W. Holmes III, 34, of 132 Rose Ave., Washington, was arrested Sept. 21 after he allegedly pushed Chartiers Township police Officer Edgar Ellis, who responded to assist Canonsburg police with a disturbance at D’s Locker Room, 26 N. Jefferson Ave. Holmes was asked to leave after falling asleep at the bar and was escorted out by an employee. He reportedly caused a disturbance outside the bar. Once inside the police car, he also allegedly kicked the windows. Holmes was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson on aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness. He was released from Washington County Jail Sept. 21 after posting $5,000 bond.
Drug arrest: John McClain, 51, of Pittsburgh, was arrested the night of Sept. 21 on charges of public drunkenness and possession of drug paraphernalia and cocaine. He was found passed out behind Citizens Bank. When police checked him, they found suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and was placed in the Washington County Jail on $1,000 bond.
Criminal mischief: Shaelyn Saunoras, 21, of 524 Valley View Terrace, will be charged with criminal mischief for allegedly damaging a vehicle owned by Cheyenne Shearer of Library while it was parked early Sept. 23 on W. College Street, police said. The charge will be sent by summons.
Police and firefighters were called Sept. 22 to the home of Benjamin Jones, 111 E. College St., when an ashtray reportedly caught fire, igniting the carpet and oil cans on his porch.
Gas line hit: Columbia Gas Co. was called Sept. 22, when crews from Kukurian Contractors hit a natural gas line on Cecil Street, police said.
Medication stolen: Karen Loskoski, 513 Craighead St., told police Sept. 22 that her nephew’s medication was stolen from her vehicle.
CASTLE SHANNON
Hit and run: A vehicle struck a parked car on Mt. Lebanon Boulevard and then fled, police said. The accident was reported at 10:26 p.m. Sept. 24.
A vehicle was tampered with on Home Avenue before 6:06 p.m. Sept. 19.
A bicycle was stolen from the park on Terrace Drive before 6:05 p.m. Sept. 19.
CECIL TOWNSHIP
Greg W. Banner of 238 Chubbic Road, Canonsburg, will receive a citation following a traffic stop on Southpointe Boulevard at 6:47 p.m. Sept. 22, township police said. The officer smelled marijuana as he approached the car and after being given permission to search the car, found two containers with a small amount of marijuana, police said. He will be charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Woman charged: Jamie Lemon, 44, of 57 Sycamore St., Muse, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following an incident in the magistrate’s office, 3441 Millers Run Road, at 10:13 a.m. Sept. 23, township police said. Lemon was involved in an argument with the victim in her case in the waiting room and had brought her dog into the courtroom, police said. The officer noticed that Lemon appeared to be intoxicated and she admitted to driving to the police station. A camera in the patrol car in the parking lot revealed her pulling into the parking lot and getting out of her vehicle with her dog, police said. A breath test found her blood-alcohol level to be .197 percent. The state presumes intoxication at .08 percent.
Copper/lumber stolen: Forty feet of copper and 60 pieces of lumber were stolen from a construction site in Overlook at Southpointe, township police said. The theft was reported by Ryan Homes at 1:28 p.m. Sept. 26.
Car damaged: A 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was heavily damaged inside a detatched garage at 1518 Route 980 before 4:45 p.m. Sept. 26, police said. The owner is Janis Rogale. A neighbor told police he saw three young boys near the garage with baseball bats banging on the garage, police said.
Construction materials damaged: Several pieces of dry wall were spray painted along with a foundation in the Overlook at Southpointe plan before 10 a.m. Sept. 27, township police said. A garage door was also spray painted and it cannot be repaired and must be replaced, police said. Small handprints were found in glue. The items are owned by Ryan Homes.
Tammy Mock, 16 Muse-Bishop Road, told police the rear door was open and another knocked off the hinges at her residence, township police said. Her grandmother’s bedroom was ransacked. The burglary was reported at 6:08 p.m. Sept. 27. The grandmother passed away the night before the burglary was reported, police said.
Wallet stolen: Charles Phillips of Strabane reported at 7:18 p.m. Sept. 28, that his wallet was stolen from inside a coat in his vehicle while it was parked at the Park and Ride near Southpointe, township police said. There are no signs of forced entry. Stolen were credit cards and $100 in cash. There has been no activity on the credit cards, police said.
Theft: Two Pirate playoff tickets, valued at $2,700 were possibly stolen, police said. Denise Fetsko told police she ordered the tickets that were to be shipped by FedEx and was told the tickets were delivered to her residence at 12:22 p.m. Sept. 24. When the tickets did not arrive, the Pirates canceled the tickets and Fetsko notified police at 10:40 p.m. Sept. 29.
MT. LEBANON
Drug/theft charges: Joseph Signorella, 30, no known address, was charged with theft and possession of a controlled substance at 3:11 p.m. Sept. 16 on Briarwood Avenue, police said.
Juan Serrator-Jasso, 23, of 1642 Westmont Ave., Pittsburgh, was charged with accidents involving an attended vehicle, accidents involving injuries, and driving without a license and driving without insurance for an incident at 9:35 p.m. Sept. 12 on Washington Road, police said.
Receiving stolen property: Cody Gribble, 29, no known address, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property at 6:53 a.m. Sept. 14 on Mt. Lebanon Boulevard, police said.
Morgan Wasdick, 59, of 3629 Poplar Ave., Pittsburgh, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and accidents involving unattended property at 12:53 a.m. Sept. 20 following an incident on Castle Shannon Boulevard, police said.
A 15-year-old girl was cited for underage drinking at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 20 on Washington Road, police said.
DUI/drugs: Terry Halligan, 19, of 25 Jonquil Place, Mt. Lebanon, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia, at 2 a.m. Sept. 20 on Washington Road, police said.
A purse was taken on McFarland Road, police said. The theft was reported at 5:57 p.m. Sept. 15.
PETERS TOWNSHIP
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: The owner of a 2013 Subaru from the 100 block of Springbrooke Drive told police her 21-year-old son, Jean Michael Bunner, took the car after she told him he was not permitted to have the vehicle, township police said. The Pennsylvania license is JNS6453. The unauthorized use was reported at 11:26 a.m. Sept. 22.
A man entered CVS pharmacy, 3870 Washington Road, shortly before 6:12 p.m. Sept. 23, took a large gift bag from a shelf, placed six electronic toothbrushes in the bag and walked out the door, township police said. The toothbrushes are valued at $634.95.
An employee of Mm Mm Pizza, 3637 Washington Road, told police her wallet was removed from her vehicle while she was working between 4 and 10:30 p.m. Sept. 25, township police said. Missing in addition to the wallet were gift cards, identification and $200 in cash.
Two injured: Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident at 1:50 p.m. Sept. 25, on Washington Road at Braun Drive, township police said. A vehicle driven by Jennifer Campbell, 53, of 345 Winner’s Circle, Canonsburg, was heading north in the turn lane on Washington Road when she attempted a left turn from Washington Road on to Braun Drive, police said. Her vehicle collided with a southbound vehicle operated by Elizabeth Lux, 61, of 714 Roselawn Ave., Mt. Lebanon, police said. The force of the impact caused Campbell’s vehicle to collided with another vehicle stopped on Braun Drive. That vehicle was operated by Sean Noone, 30, of 360 Bow St., Stockdale. Campbell was taken to Canonsburg Hospital with a left shoulder injury. A passenger in Lux’s vehicle, Anthony Rago, 94, of 2665 Bingham Drive, Upper St. Clair, complained of chest pain and was taken to St. Clair Hospital.
Jewelry missing: A resident of the 100 block of Pleasantview Drive reported at 12:09 p.m. Sept. 25 that jewelry is missing from an upstairs bedroom, township police said. There are no signs of forced entry and the jewelry was last seen Aug. 30.
Robbery: Police continue to search for a man who robbed the CVS pharmacy, 3870 Washington Road, at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 26 when he pulled to the drive-through window and demanded drugs. A CVS employee said the man revealed what was thought to be a gun or a Taser that was hidden in his sleeve. The number and type of prescription drugs were not disclosed. The man, who was driving a red car, fled north on Washington Road. The man was described as white, between 50 and 60 years old, and with a heavy build. Cecil Township police assisted.
SCOTT TOWNSHIP
Burglary: A resident on Great Oak Drive reported the theft of $450 from her residence, police said. The report was made at 12:39 a.m. Sept. 23.
Burglary/criminal trespass: Checks were stolen from a residence on Royal Oak Road between midnight Sept. 8 and 3 p.m. Sept. 17. The burglary was reported at 3 p.m. Sept. 25, police said.
Terroristic threats: Lorenzo R. Gillette, 36, of 14 Clairview Drive, Carnegie, was arrested and charged with terroristic threats, at 3:21 p.m. Sept. 25, police said. Additional information was not listed.
Simple assault: Mark Mesagno, 51, of 426 Hill Street, Carnegie, was arrested for simple assault and harassment after police observed him assault an adult male at 11 p.m. Sept. 26.
Brian Shawn Weisser, 49, of 425 Third Ave., Carnegie, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at 8:04 p.m. Sept. 27 at Gregg Street Park, police said. Officers were called to the park for a report of juveniles arguing. When police arrived, officers found a girl with a knife, which she said her mother’s boyfriend gave to her for protection. The girl’s age was not released. Weisser admitted to giving the girl the knife. Since Weisser had active outstanding warrants, he was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
Domestic assault: Jeffrey Brian Potts, 41, of 117 Locust St., Carnegie, was charged with assault and harassment following an incident at 11:38 p.m. Sept. 27, police said. The incident involved a domestic dispute in his resident during which officers observed him assault his live-in girlfriend.
An arrest warrant was issued for Jaelyn Mays, 19, of 635 Library Ave., Carnegie, after police said she pointed a gun at four juveniles in the 1100 block of Washington Avenue at 12:43 a.m. Sept. 28, police said. The warrant was issued for reckless endangerment and terroristic threats.
Underage drinking: Two men were charged with underage drinking during a traffic stop at 12:49 a.m. Sept. 28, police said. Shane Warman, 19, of 144 Boroview St., Carnegie, and Antonio Lupi, 18, of 154 McMichael Road, Carnegie, were charged with underage drinking and disorderly conduct.
Reckless endangerment: Kyle Dayvon Adams, 19, of 1209 Washington Ave., Carnegie, was charged with reckless endangerment and aggravated assault following an incident in the 1200 block of Washington Avenue at 1 a.m. Sept. 28, police said.
SOUTH FAYETTE
Bicycles taken: Two bicycles were stolen from a porch in the 600 block of Millers Run Road before 5:50 p.m. Thursday, township police said. Total value of the bikes is $200.
Copper stolen: Copper rods were stolen from the Verizon cell tower on Abele Road, township police said. No value was listed for the copper. The theft was reported at 9:55 a.m. Sept. 22.
UPPER ST. CLAIR
A home on Kent Road was entered through a rear patio area and the master bedroom was ransacked between 5:45-10 p.m. Sept. 23, and jewelry was stolen, township police said. There is no estimate of value.
Copper stolen: An undetermined amount of scrap copper was stolen from a construction site on Woodlands Circle between Sept. 24-25, township police said. There is no estimate of value.
