PennDOT crews will be conducting milling and repaving work on Greentree Road in Scott Township and Green Tree Borough the week of April 6.

Beginning April 6, crews will be doing work between Cochran and McMonagle roads, restricting traffic to one lane in each direction within the three- and four-lane sections of roadway from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and from 7 p.m.-6 a.m.

Work suspends until April 9, when crews return to the same area. Crews will move to work on Greentree Road between Elmhurst and Carnahan roads April 10-11. The same day and nighttime single-lane restrictions will be in place, with all work scheduled to finish at 4 p.m. April 11, however, alternating single-lane stoppages will be in effect the last two days of work.

Flaggers will guide motorists through the work zone and police will be posted at signalized intersections to control traffic. PennDOT spokesman Steve Cowan said more information will be released regarding the scheduling of work after April 11. The work is part of a $3.8 million repaving project to mill and resurface Route 121/Route 3101 with work slated to conclude in August.
