BETHEL PARK
Pharmacy robbed: Police and the Drug Enforcement Agency are investigating the burglary of the Spartan Pharmacy, 3400 South Park Road, that took place in the early morning hours of April 19. According to police, two people used a tire iron to force open the front door of the store. A large amount of prescription drugs were taken. Police suspect that the drugs may end up being sold on the black market.
Theft from vehicles: Numerous unlocked cars parked at the LA Fitness Center on Oxford Drive were entered and a number of credit cards were reported missing April 23. Police said the credit cards were used to purchase large dollar value items at Dicks, Target and Best Buy. The investigation is ongoing.
Shoplifter caught: Richard Vanholt, 47, of Pittsburgh, was caught shoplifting at the Shop ‘n Save on Library Road April 25. Vanholt was taken to the Allegheny County Jail, police said.

Drug violations: Kelly Johnson, 39, of 2943 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, was arrested April 17 on McRoberts Road for drug violations, police said.
Public drunkenness: Amy Platz, 42, of 1016 Manorview Drive, Pittsburgh, was arrested April 18 for public drunkenness on Grove Road, police said.
Public drunkenness: Jacki McMahon, 55, of 3715 Poplar Ave., Pittsburgh, was arrested April 18 for public drunkenness on Castle Shannon Boulevard.
Drug violations: Ambyre Novak, 37, of Rancho Palos, Calif., was arrested April 19 for drug violations on Library Road, police said.
Drug violations: Antonio Weir, 29, of 255 Merritt Ave., Pittsburgh, was charged April 19 with drug violations on Library Road, police said.
Theft: James Chardello, 41, of 1951 Lucinda Drive, Pittsburgh, was arrested for theft April 22, police said.
Soliciting without permit: Dustin O’Shell, 19, of Banksville Road, Pittsburgh, was cited April 20 for soliciting without a permit, police said.

iPad stolen: Brian Stankovich reported that his iPad was taken April 19 while he was at the Iceoplex, 114 Southpointe Blvd., police said.
Tools taken: Around $2,300 worth of tools were taken April 23 from an Asplundh Tree Service Co. truck parked at the state Department of Transportation garage on Lewicki Road, police said.
Saw stolen: An orange and white Stihl chain saw was reported taken April 23 from a shed behind a house located at 12 Nugent St., McDonald, police said.
Money missing: Police are investigating the theft of a $1,000 in cash from the Southpointe Courthouse, 281 Georgetown Road, April 26. According to police, the phone lines, cable and the Internet were not available when the theft occurred. The incident remains under investigation.

Retail theft: Joseph Lauer, 64, of 183 Morrison Drive, Pittsburgh, was arrested April 17 for retail theft on Cochran Road, police said.
Contempt of court: Dean Valorie, 28, of 437 Marietta Place, Pittsburgh, was arrested on Ralston Place April 17 for contempt of court, police said.
PETERS TOWNSHIP
Copper wiring and piping taken: Police are investigating the theft of copper wiring and piping taken from a vacant house at 380 Turkeyfoot Road the morning of April 22. The house was a site of a fire January 23 that damaged the front of the dwelling, police said. The incident remains under investigation.
DUI: Christopher Milchovich, 35, of Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, was charged with DUI April 21. According to police, Milchovich was southbound on Washington Road in McMurray and was weaving and traveling at varying rates of speed before being stopped at the intersection of Washington Road and Crosswinds Drive. Police said a strong odor of alcohol was detected. Milchovich failed a field sobriety test and was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for a blood test, police said.
Theft from vehicle: A Coach purse and $180 in cash were taken from an unlocked vehicle April 22 in the 100 block of Sandcreek Drive. Police said the purse was behind the driver’s seat and the wallet and credit cards were not taken.
Theft by unlawful taking: A gold bracelet and a pair of gold earrings were reported taken April 22 from a house in the 100 block of Lintel Drive, McMurray. The incident remains under investigation.
Missing reading glasses: A pair of Chrome Heart reading glasses valued at $1,200 were reported missing April 23 from the desk at a business located at 2871 Washington Road, McMurray, police said.
Stolen liquor: Police said an African-American man walked up to a clerk at the state Wine and Spirits store, 3929 Washington Road, McMurray, and asked the price of an item on April 23. He left the item and walked out of the store. As he was getting into a car, clerks noticed he had two bottles of liquor valued at $64 up his sleeves. A similar incident was reported April 19 at the Wine and Spirits store at the Washington Mall, police said.
