Bethel Park

Business burglarized: Police are investigating a burglary that took place July 27 at Optical Images, 4706 Library Road. According to reports, employees reporting for work found that the business had been entered over the weekend and items of minimal value were missing.

Equipment stolen: A contractor doing work at Paramount Assisted Living, 7168 Baptist Road, reported July 27 that equipment was taken from his vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.

Stolen merchandise: Police assisted WalMart loss prevention officers Aug. 2 with two suspects leaving the store with stolen merchandise. Police arrested William Hahne, 36, of Pittsburgh, and took him to the Allegheny County Jail. Thomas Hamilton, 33, of Pittsburgh, was released, but charges will be filed by mail.

Castle Shannon

Disorderly house: Police cited Malinda Anderson, 45, of 3524 Middleboro Road, Pittsburgh, for violation of a disorderly house on July 24. According to Ken Truver, Castle Shannon police chief, if police are called to a house on multiple occasions, then a resident can be cited for violating this ordinance.

Simple assault: Christian Etzi, 41, of 944 Walnut St., Pittsburgh, and a 15-year-old female juvenile were arrested May 27 for simple assault.

Summons filed: A summons was filed July 29 for Derrick Middlebrook, 25, of 616 Grand Vue Ave., Clairton, on charges of theft of cash.

Cecil Township

Monetary theft: John Zitney of 3010 Laura Lane, Lawrence, told police July 28 that $250 in cash was taken from his wallet that was beneath the driver’s seat of his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at his home.

Theft: Two men walked out of Bella Sera, 414 Morganza Road, July 28 without paying their check, which totaled $33.37, police said.

Gun missing: Dominic Altieri, 3269 Miller’s Run Road, Apt. 3, Cecil, told police Aug. 1 that a Ruger pistol valued at $600 was missing from his home.

Peters Township

House burglarized: A homeowner in the 100 block of Carol Drive told police July 28 he found the rear door of his house kicked in. He is conducting an inventory to see if anything is missing. The incident remains under investigation.

Card taken: Police said a resident of the 100 block of Elm Grove Drive reported July 28 that a credit card was taken from her residence. An investigation found that $1,250 in multiple transactions around South Hills Village Mall was charged to her card on July 24 and July 25, police said.

Coins taken: A resident of the 100 block of Maple Lane told police that $25 in miscellaneous coins was taken from unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway.

Two-vehicle accident: No one was hurt, but two vehicles had to be towed in an accident that occurred Aug. 1 in the 200 block of Justabout Road, Venetia. According to reports, an SUV driven by Janika Hutton, 17, of Center Avenue, Monongahela, collided with a sedan driven by Brooke Volcano, 17, of Gala Drive, Canonsburg.

Vandalism: Police are investigating an egg-throwing incident that occurred Aug. 1 in the 100 block of Lake Forest Road in Venetia. Police said the resident who complained about eggs being thrown at his house directed them to a house on Lake Colony Road. Upon arrival, police found several under-age drinkers.

Vaporizer stolen: An employee of Applebees on Washington Road told police Aug. 2 that a Rail Box vaporizer was taken from his unlocked vehicle while he was at work.

Warrant served: Police served a warrant for failure to appear to Kristina Carr Smith, 53, of Lakeview Drive Aug. 1. Smith was taken to the Washington County Jail, police said.

South Fayette

Break in: Police said on July 31 the door of the concession stand at Fairview Park was kicked in. Nothing was reported missing.

Egged house: A house in the 400 block of Pine Valley Drive was egged Aug. 2, police said.

Upper St. Clair

Lion theft: Police said that someone attempted to steal a concrete, 18-inch ornamental lion from a pillar of a driveway at a house in the 400 block of Hollydale Drive Aug. 1, but dropped the statue, damaging it.
