Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation offers the following walking tours in August:
• “Downtown’s Best” Walking Tour, 10 a.m.-noon Thursdays. See more than 25 architectural landmarks, interiors and urban spaces. Advance paid registrations ($18/members – includes Whirlwind Walk guidebook, $20/non-members) are required.
• Bridges & River Shores Walking Tour, noon-1 p.m. Fridays. Enjoy a “bridge walk” across the Allegheny River. See Downtown and the North Shore while crossing the Roberto Clemente and Andy Warhol bridges. See sculptures and landscaped riverfronts while listening to stories of daredevils and architects. Free. Registrations appreciated.
