Bethel Park

Employee arrested: The manager of 7-Eleven on Library Road called police Aug. 5 concerning an employee theft issue. Police arrested Lindsey Needham, 22, of Bethel Park and will charge her with theft by unlawful taking.

Retail theft: Retail theft charges will be filed by Walmart on Library Road against John Dollesandro, 35, no address provided, for an Aug. 5 incident at the store, police said.

Retail theft: Felony retail theft and defiant trespass charges will be filed by Walmart on Library Road against Adam Washlack, 32, of Eighty Four, stemming from an Aug. 6 incident at the store.

Shoplifting: Giant Eagle Market District will file shoplifting charges against Paul Stratemeier, 23, of Bethel Park, from an Aug. 7 incident, police said.

Taking items: Colleen Brown, 27, of Pittsburgh, was caught Aug. 7 with putting stolen items in her purse at Giant Eagle Market District. She will be charged via summons, police said.

Hit and run: Lisa Cirocco, 51, of Finleyville, was arrested Aug. 7 following two separate hit-and-run incidents involving injuries and one crash. Cirocco was eventually stopped on Fort Couch Road in Upper St. Clair and taken to the Allegheny County Jail.

Castle Shannon

Resisting arrest: Police served an outstanding warrant to Tiran Fields, 30, of 117 Finley St., Pittsburgh. He was charged with resisting arrest and escape Aug. 4, police said.

Cecil Township

Drug paraphernalia: Sarah Vincenti, 20, of 12 Top Street, McDonald, was pulled over on a routine traffic stop at Southpointe on Aug. 3 when police discovered two empty stamp bags and a marijuana pipe. She will be charged via summons with two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia.

Mt. Lebanon

Dog hurt: Someone entered a residence on Lindenwood Avenue July 15, injuring a dog.

Tickets stolen: Tickets to a Pirates game were taken from a car parked on Briarwood Avenue July 15, police said.

Peters Township

Suspicious man: A 13-year-old residing in the 100 block of Ammons Drive in McMurray told police a strange man entered his house Aug. 3. According to police reports, the intruder is in his early 20s with dark hair. Police did not find the man, but there were indications that someone had been in the house.

Tools taken: A survey laser and a pressurized grease gun were reported taken July 31 from an unsecured truck parked at Grande Italian Restaurant, 4205 Washington Road, police said.

House burglary: Police are investigating a house burglary that took place Aug. 3 in the 100 block of Brookdale Court, McMurray. According to reports, a male with short dark hair who was wearing a pink tie dye T-shirt and cargo pants was seen near the house. A window in the back of the home had been broken. Closets and drawers had been opened and ransacked. The owner of the home is working on an inventory of the missing items.

Two-vehicle accident: No one was hurt, but one car had to be towed in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Aug. 5 at the intersection of East McMurray Road and Fieldbrook Drive in McMurray. According to reports, a car driven by Scott Taylor, 51, of Maple Street Extension, was eastbound on East McMurray Road and stopped to turn left. His vehicle was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Gloria Lerner, 65, of Farmview Place, Venetia. Lerner’s car had to be towed from the scene.

Warrant served: Police were called Aug. 6 to assist the Washington County sheriff’s office with serving a drug warrant on Noah Farkas, 23, of Elm Grove Drive, McMurray, on the morning of Aug. 6. According to Peters Township police, Farkas refused to come out of the house. At the same time, the South Hills Area Council of Governments’ Critical Incident Response Team, comprised of officers from various police departments in the South Hills, was on a training exercise in Venetia and responded. Farkas came out of his house, was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

South Fayette

Criminal mischief: Someone drove onto Hunting Ridge field in Bridgeville July 29 causing $400 in damage. The incident remains under investigation.
