Stolen wallet: A customer at Red Robin in South Hills Village Mall told police her wallet was stolen from her purse Aug. 14.
Business burglarized: Police are investigating a burglary reported Aug. 16 at Pool and Spa Outlet, 5860 Library Road. According to reports, a small amount of cash was taken.
Bridgeville
Retail theft: Police arrested Jason Burke, 43, of Eighty Four, July 2 for retail theft from Rite Aid, 417 Chartiers St. According to police, Burke was seen by store security walking out of the store with a can of Red Bull without paying for it.
Domestic disturbance: Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of Dewey Avenue in Bridgeville July 6. Upon arrival, officers found drugs and drug paraphernalia. Brandon Schubert, 29, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Jason Taylor, 35, of Bridgeville, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Retail theft: Edward Sawicky, 28, of Washington, was arrested July 7 after he was seen stealing a magazine and candy from Rite Aid, 417 Chartiers St. Police also found him in possession of a small amount of marijuana and a marijuana pipe. He was also wanted on a retail theft warrant out of Collier Township and a probation violation warrant out of Washington County. According to police, Sawicky was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and retail theft.
Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle: George Weatherwalk, 36, of Johnstown, was arrested July 11 after taking a vehicle without the owner’s permission. According to reports, Weatherwalk did not have a driver’s license and wrecked the vehicle. Police charged him with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.
Retail theft: Police arrested Nikki Miller, 38, of Donora for retail theft at Rite Aid, 417 Chartiers St. on July 15. According to police, Miller was seen by store security taking Red Bull, gum, make-up, sunglasses, peppermint chews and chicken salad without paying.
Theft: Police arrested two people July 5 for taking items out of cars parked in the 400 block of Bank Street Extension. Brandon Schubert, 29, of Bridgeville, was charged with loitering and prowling at night, theft from a motor vehicle, possession of a small amount of marijuana, public intoxication and criminal conspiracy. Jason Taylor, 35, of Bridgeville, was charged with loitering and prowling at night, theft from a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication and criminal conspiracy.
Retail theft: Craig Dell, 40, of Bridgeville, was charged July 16 with retail theft after he stole a case of beer from a business in the 400 block of Railroad Street.
Public intoxication: Police charged Zachery Gleason, 27, of Collier Township, with public intoxication after he was found unconscious and on the ground on Darby Way.
DUI and drug paraphernalia: On July 19, police were called to McLaughlin Park for a disturbance and stopped a vehicle leaving the park that contained the five people involved. Police charged Richard Ryjer, 55, of McDonald, who was driving the car, with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and required financial responsibility.
Cecil Township
House burglary: Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at 2075 980 Road., McDonald, Aug. 16. According to reports, the resident, Micheal Fitzgerald, told police a 42-inch television, valued at $500, and a Play Station, with games, also valued at $500, were taken.
Fraudulent charges: Anthony Boggio, 68 Maple St., Muse, told police Aug. 14 someone made three fraudulent charges each totalling $300 on his Fairview Federal Credit Union account at three different stores in Beaver Falls.
Mt. Lebanon
Simple assault: Svitlana Tomson, 50, of 1445 Washington Road, was arrested Aug. 5 and charged with simple assault and endangering the welfare of children, police said.
Underage drinking: John Rendulic, 18, of 1384 Navahoe Drive, was arrested Aug. 9 and charged with theft of services, underage drinking, misrepresentation of age to secure liquor and false identification, police said.
Burglary and assault: John Pardini, 47, of 2603 Voelkel Road, Apt. 2, was arrested Aug. 9 and charged with burglary, simple assault, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and recklessly endangering another person, police said.
Peters Township
Money taken: Around $50 in cash and miscellaneous coinage was taken Aug. 7 from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Greenfield Drive in McMurray, police said.
Home burglary: Someone entered a house in the 100 block of Alyson Drive, McMurray, Aug. 12 and took $60 in cash from a wallet in the kitchen. The homeowner’s wife reported missing $44 in cash from her purse and their son said he was missing $40 from his wallet, police said.
Retail theft: Three power drills, valued at $169 each, were stolen Aug. 15 from Miller’s Ace Hardware, 4275 Washington Road, McMurray. According to police, a man came into the store with a camouflage jacket tucked in his arm. He went to the section where the drills were located, put on his jacket and left the store a few minutes later. Store employees became suspicious and saw the drills were missing.
Drug arrest: Police arrested Erik Hancock, 27, of Oriole Drive, Hendersonville, Aug. 16 in the parking lot of Max & Erma’s, 4093 Washington Road, McMurray, for smoking marijuana. Hancock will be charged via summons, police said.
DUI and warrants: On Aug. 15, police received an anonymous call that a visibly intoxicated man was trying to leave the Grand Slam Lounge, 4205 McMurray Road. Upon arrival, police found Brian Ballentine, 44, of Leah Court, Gibsonia, attempting to get on his motorcycle. Ballentine failed a field sobriety test and police discovered he had an outstanding warrant from Allegheny County and five previous DUI charges. He was charged with DUI and operating a vehicle without a license, speeding and following too closely, police said.
False ID: Police arrested Mateo Antonio Felix, 27, Aug. 16 and charged him with DUI and showing false identification to law enforcement officers. According to police, Felix was found in the parking lot of KO Sports Hockey, 2588 Washington Road, Canonsburg, attempting to change the tire on a car with Oklahoma license plates. Police said Felix had been seen earlier driving erratically on Racetrack Road, where witnesses saw him drive over a median and get a flat tire. Felix admitted to drinking alcohol at the casino and gave police a Texas identification card and a Honduran identification card, both of which proved false. He was taken to the Washington County Jail and the incident remains under investigation, police said.
