French farce Little Lake’s “wackiest” show of the season

‘A Little Hotel on the Side’
Little Lake Theatre Company brings John Mortimer’s “A Little Hotel on the Side” to the stage Aug. 20-22; 27-30 and Sept. 3-5.
The slam-bang comedy, adapted from the original French farce by Georges Feydeay and Maurice Désvallières, tells the tale of leading man Monsieur Pinglet as he sets out for a romantic liaison with his neighbor’s wife but instead encounters half of Paris in their selected hotel, including many of his own relatives and the inspector of public morality.
“We are excited to have this hysterical comedy as our sixth Main Stage show of the season,” said Artistic Director Roxy MtJoy. “It is unlike anything else our audiences will see this year!”
Thwarted passion, robust mayhem, and an obscure Parisian hotel where the corridors see more action than the beds bring a hilarious evening of mistaken identities and slamming doors–all the sidesplitting elements of classic farce from the playwright who is considered to be the master of the genre.
