During the Upper St. Clair Commissioners informational meeting on Nov. 30, planning and community development director Adam Benigni updated the board about Morrow Road bridge replacement plans.

Work on the project, which will be funded by PennDOT, is expected to occur in the summer of 2016. Benigni anticipated the project would take about eight weeks to complete.

Benigni said the municipality is also working with PennDOT on a project on McLaughlin Run Road at the intersection of Lesnett and McMillan Roads. A roundabout is one of the options being considered, but plans for the intersection have not been finalized. Benigni said work on the McLaughlin Run Road project would most likely take place in 2017.

In other business, the board is expected to vote on the township’s 2016 budget at the Dec. 7 regular meeting.

The proposed $20.46 million general fund budget for 2016 calls for no tax increase.

The real estate tax rate remains at 3.83 mils, the earned income tax rate remains at 0.8 percent, and the sewer usage multiplier remains at 2.25.

Other items to be voted on at the Dec. 7 meeting include the 2016 township engineer fee schedule, and approval of contracts for gasoline and diesel fuel and internal sectional repair and manhole rehabilitation project.
