Bethel Park
One-vehicle accident: Police received numerous calls Dec. 5 about a vehicle on its side in the parking lot of Briarwood Apartments, 5540 Library Road. According to police, the driver, Patrick Dougherty, 67, of Bethel Park, was suspected to be under the influence. He was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.
Theft from vehicle: A customer shopping in the Walmart, 5055 Library Road, Dec. 1 told police when he came out of the store that his vehicle had been broken into. It is not clear whether the vehicle was unsecured and the incident remains under investigation.
Castle Shannon
False reports: Johanna Pugliano, 56, of 341 Murrays Lane, Pittsburgh, was sent a summons Nov. 29 for making false reports to police. According to police, Pugliano was intoxicated when she called police to report her car stolen, but it turned out that her husband had taken the vehicle.
Cecil Township
Clubs missing: Lance Lemmons, a resident of Texas, told police Dec. 1 that his golf clubs and golf bag were missing from Southpointe Golf Club. He last saw them in October. The clubs and bag are valued at $1,800, police said.
Businesses burglarized: H. Financial Management and Southpointe Financial Services, both located at 400 Southpointe Boulevard, reported their doors had been pried open on Dec. 3, police said. Stamps, credit cards and a personal check were reported missing, police said.
Mt. Lebanon
Escape and resisting: Haley Marshall, 19, of 929 Rockwood Ave., Pittsburgh, was arrested Nov. 22 on Washington Road and charged with escape, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Theft and warrant: Louis Zoller, 69 of 125 12th Street, Homestead, was arrested by police on Cooke Lane Nov. 29 and charged with retail theft, public drunkenness and an outstanding warrant, police said.
Possession of marijuana: Alexander Kennedy, 22, of 1296 Greystone Drive, Pittsburgh, was arrested Nov. 26 on Washington Road and charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and possession of marijuana, police said.
Peters township
Sheets taken: A number of foam wall board sheets were taken Nov. 27 from a construction site on Ironwood Drive in McMurray, police said. The incident remains under investigation.
South Fayette
Escaped horse: Police were called to the 700 block of Dutch Hill Road in Oakdale Dec. 4 to help corral a horse that had gotten loose and was wandering around, according to reports. Police attempted to load the animal into a trailer, but were unable to. They managed to put a leash on the horse and returning it to its owner, who is in the process of getting his fence fixed, police said.
