Mt. Lebanon School Board approves new dean of students

Mt. Lebanon School Board at its Dec. 14 meeting unanimously approved the hiring of Carlene L. McGinty as high school dean of students.
She has been a counselor at Upper St. Clair High School since 2012. A start date in Mt. Lebanon is to be determined.
McGinty was director of student activities at Mt. Lebanon High School from 2009 to 2012. Additional work experience includes 10 years at Calgon Carbon Corp., where she was director of investor relations and planning.
A Mt. Lebanon resident, McGinty earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the College of William and Mary, master’s in environmental management from Duke University and master’s in education from California University of Pennsylvania.
