Castle Shannon

Theft arrest: Eric Lijewski, 36, of Palm Beach Ave., Pittsburgh, was arrested Dec. 4 on Grove Road and charged with theft, police said.

Leaving the scene: Joel Morgan, 42, of 1177 Pinewood Drive, Pittsburgh, was sent a summons Dec. 5 for leaving the scene of a crash.

Cecil Township

Drug charges: Shari Populo, 29, no address listed, was arrested on a probation bench warrant for drug and drug paraphernalia possession after a traffic stop Dec. 8 along Spruce Way, police said.

Mt. Lebanon

Damage to vehicles: Carol Klemanski, 80, of 1354 Tennessee Ave., Pittsburgh, was charged Dec. 3 with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle stemming from an incident on Scott Road, police said.

Outstanding warrant: Stephen Locke, 39, of 1701 Belasco Avenue, Apt. 2, Pittsburgh, was arrested Dec. 6 on Cochran Road on an outstanding warrant, police said.

Peters Township

Handguns missing: A resident of the 200 block of Canterwood Drive in Venetia told police Dec. 7 two handguns are missing from his home, according to reports. The incident remains under investigation.

Retail theft: Brian Scott Daugherty, 30, McKees Rocks, was arrested and charged with retail theft Dec. 11. He allegedly took $240 worth of merchandise from the Kmart on Washington Road. Items taken included three calculators, a lighter, three DVDs, a knitted hat and a folding knife. Daugherty fled on foot and was apprehended at Canonsburg Lake, police said.

South Fayette

Trailers broken into: Seven storage trailers belonging to Boehm Landscaping, 718 Millers Run Road, were broken into Dec. 11. According to reports, someone removed the lock from each of the trailers. The only item reported missing was a red mini bike, police said.

Upper St. Clair

Purse taken: A resident in the 2000 block of Allison Drive told police the front passenger window of her vehicle was smashed in the morning of Dec. 3 and someone took her purse. Police said the value of the purse and its contents was $1,300.

Retail theft: Ryan Michael Kowalski, 37, of Cecil, and Alan Michael Dague, 27, of Canonsburg, were charged with retail theft stemming from a Nov. 2 incident at Target at South Hills Village Mall. According to reports, the pair allegedly took $650 worth of merchandise from the store. In addition to retail theft, police said Kowalski was charged with criminal conspiracy, and Dague was charged with receiving stolen goods.

Card stolen: A resident in the 3000 block of Mohawk Road told police Nov. 30 that someone took his Best Buy credit card and charged $6,000 worth of merchandise in West Virginia. The incident remains under investigation.
