Photography presentation

Ralph Gurley will be this month’s guest speaker at the Western Pennsylvania Lensshooters Camera club meeting at 7 p.m. Jan. 13 at Peters Township Public Library. Gurley’s presentation will be “The Western part of Yellowstone National Park – wildlife, thermal features and the waterfalls.”

Ralph started taking photos at age 12 with Univex and Kodak Brownie cameras; later on he switched to a Canon 35mm. Ralph entered the digital age with his Canon cameras and now uses an a Olympus Micro 4/3 camera. Ralph is the past president of the former Natural Color Camera Club. Currently he is the projected image competition chairman for the Photographic Section of the Academy of Science and Art in Mt. Lebanon.

This month’s photo theme is “holidays.” Members are encouraged to think outside the box for this assignment. Only one image per photographer is permitted.

The general meeting is open to the public.
