(PIX) At Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park, Dr. Bradley Fitch will assume the position of organist/assistant minister of Music & Worship Life at Christ Church early January 2016. Fitch received his bachelor’s degree in music from Oberlin College, master’s degree in music from Indiana University and doctor of musical arts from the University of Oklahoma. As a church musician, Fitch has served a variety of congregations throughout the Midwest, most recently as director of Music Ministries for the Church of the Nativity of Our Lord (RC) in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he led a comprehensive music program including adult and children’s choirs, a bell choir and other instrumentalists. In addition, he is active as a performer and consultant on all areas related to the pipe organ, including teaching, construction and design, and curriculum development. He currently resides in Cincinnati with his wife, Kaila, and daughter, Olivia.

• New Year’s Eve Communion, 4-7 p.m. Dec. 31. Share in a time of communion with one of the pastors to close out the year. Families and individuals are invited to reflect on readings and commune.

At St. Valentine Church, Bethel Park, a ChristLife Series will be held 5 p.m. Sundays, Jan. 10-Feb. 21. Participants do not need to be Catholic to attend. This series is for anyone 18 years of age or older who is interested in beginning or renewing a personal relationship with Jesus.
