Mr. and Mrs. Raymond M. Ahrenholtz announce the engagement of their daughter, Spencer Rae, to Bryce Kidd of Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Spencer is a 2006 graduate of Chartiers Valley High School and a 2010 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College, majoring in chemistry.

Bryce is a 2006 graduate of North Myrtle Beach High School and a 2010 graduate of Coastal Carolina University, majoring in chemistry.

Both Spencer and Bryce are graduate students at Virginia Tech, where they are pursuing doctoral degrees in chemistry.

An October wedding is planned in Radford, Va.
