At the Bible Chapel, McMurray, the sermon series #Jesus #unexpected will take place Feb. 7 and 8.

At Center Presbyterian Church, McMurray, a Black History Appreciation Worship Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11, featuring African-American spirituals, liturgy from black poets and a recorder sermon “Paul’s Letter to American Christians” by the Rev. At Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park, The Apocrypha: The Books in the Middle, Part 2 will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 4-March 18 (no class Feb. 18). Read and discuss the significance of these little-known books that span the time period between the Old and New Testaments. This second half of the series includes the books of Ecclesiasticus through Second Maccabees.

• Women’s Book Discussion Group, 3:30 p.m. Feb. 11. Discuss “Still Life with Bread Crumbs” by Anna Quindlen.

At South Hills Assembly, Bethel Park, CommuniTea, a community women’s Bible study fellowship, will be held 9:30-11:30 a.m. Feb. 6 in the multi-purpose room.

At South Hills Church of the Nazarene, Bethel Park, the winter session of the DivorceCare Support Group meets 7-9 p.m. Thursdays, through April 2. DivorceCare features a video every week prior to discussion with nationally recognized experts on divorce and recovery topics. Cost of $20 includes a workbook. At St. Louise de Marillac Parish, Upper St. Clair, “Seminar of Hope: How to Pray for Your Sons, Daughters and Loved Ones” will be held 7-9 p.m. Feb. 13 and 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Feb. 14 in Le Gras Hall. Led by Vernon Robertson, the seminar addresses the issue of those who no longer practice their faith. The seminar is free, but a love offering will be accepted. On Saturday, Mass will be celebrated in the church at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Bring a bag lunch on Saturday. Beverages and dessert provided.
