The Oscar’s take center stage this weekend as Pittsburgher’s gather to walk the red carpet, drink champagne and watch live telecasts of the Academy Awards.
At The Hollywood Theater in Dormont, doors open at 7 p.m. Michael E. Moats and Ian Pisarcik from Top of the Line Entertainment return this year as emcees. To add to the awards show, games, contests and prizes will go on throughout the evening. Tickets are $10 for floor seating (includes small popcorn and drink), and $25 for VIP balcony seating (includes bottomless popcorn, champagne and other perks). A limited number of VIP tickets are available. Walk the red carpet and root for your favorites.

Highmark will present its 15th annual Academy Awards benefit “Lights! Glamour! Action! 2015” at Heinz Field Club East Lounge. The event will include gourmet food stations, fashion presentations, a silent auction featuring autographed memorabilia from Pittsburgh-made films, a martini bar and more. Doors open at 6 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and 7:30 p.m. for gala-level ticket holders. Celebrate the film industry and support the mission of the Pittsburgh Film Office, a nonprofit economic development agency that markets the Southwestern Pennsylvania region to the film industry. All proceeds benefit the PFO.
