PennDOT is cancelling weekend ceiling tile removal work in the inbound side of the Fort Pitt Tunnel due to low temperatures. Spokesman Steve Cowan said the work would be rescheduled for another weekend.

Cowan added that eight full weekend closures will be required during the $14.7 million project, which includes the removal of the tunnel ceiling, relocation of cameras and temperature monitors and other miscellaneous repair work inside the tunnel.
