PT golf program
The Golf Coaches Association of Peters Township will offer junior development classes for beginners and intermediates for 10 weeks beginning in January. Students in grades 1-8 and residents of the township are eligible. For registration packet and details contact davidkuhngolf@gmail.com
Lebo ice skating
Mt. Lebanon’s learn-to-skate group lessons begin the week of Jan. 10 at the ice center.
Registration is accepted by phone at 412-561-4363, online at www.mtlebanon.org or at the ice rink. Fee is $132 for 40-minute classes and skates or $122 for 30-minute sessions. USFS membership is included. Kindergarten students or younger must be evaluated before registering.
Lebo hockey school
Registration for the Mt. Lebanon Hockey School and the developmental league is accepted between 9 a.m.-7 p.m. daily with the rink cashier in the recreation center. Visit www.mtlebanon.org or call 412-561-4363 to sign up. A $2 fee is added for this method.
Ages 4-12 can participate in the hockey school and learn the skills of the game in a no-pressure, progressive atmosphere. The five-step program begins Jan. 6 and 8. The developmental league begins Jan. 9. Games are played on the studio rink Friday evenings. Leagues are divided into two for ages 5-8 and 9-12. Full equipment is required. Fee is $105 per skater.
Cheer clinic
A cheer clinic will be held from 10:30 a.m-2:15 p.m. Jan. 24 at Peters Township High School. Ages 5 through eighth grade are eligible. Fee is $30 ($25 though Jan. 15). Sisters participate in horse show
Maggie and Mackenzie Dokmanovich, daughters of Patrice and Michael Dokmanovich of Bethel Park and granddaughters of Georgia Murphy, traveled to the 2014 Pennsylvania State 4-H Horse Show held in Harrisburg.
Mackenzie, with her AMHA, AMHR horse project “Raders Irsul The Third,” placed fourth in Miniature Horse Driving Junior Driver class. Maggie, with her horse project “Stone Ridge Serendipity” placed fifth in a highly competitive English Grooming and Showmanship Junior Division class.
