Adult Interest Center

January programs at the Adult Interest Center at Southminster Presbyterian Church, Mt. Lebanon, include:

• Jan. 9 – The Spisaks. Husband and wife team will perform amazing circus-like tricks from juggling to hula hooping.

• Jan. 16 – Historic Houses of New England. From Gilded Age mansions to humble village cottages, Julie Agar will discuss the unique features of houses in the New England area.

• Jan. 23 – Joe Lege will return to showcase his talents on piano and accordion.

• Jan. 30 – Music and More with Gene Testa. Gene plays a variety of music and throws in some trivia and more to keep it entertaining.

Programs begin at 11 a.m. and are free and open to all. Lunch is served at noon (cost is $6 for lunch, no reservations necessary). Call AIC Director Carla Campbell at 412-343-8900 for more information.

Fitness classes

Westminster Recreation and Outreach Center at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, offers fitness classes that are 55+ friendly. Upcoming classes include:

• Arthritis Foundation exercise program, Tuesdays, 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Jan. 7-Feb 25.

• Tai Chi, Tuesdays, 12:15-1:15 p.m. Jan. 7-Feb. 25.

• Gentle Yoga, Mondays, 6-7 p.m. and Wednesdays 10:15-11:15 a.m. Jan. 14-Feb. 25.

Seniors luncheon

The Power of Jewish Birthday’s Seniors Luncheon will take place at noon on Jan. 20 at Chabad of the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon. While lunch is served, this important topic will be discussed, and learn more about the day G-D said “You Matter.”
