Assault: John Bout, 35, of Londonderry Drive, Pittsburgh, was arrested Jan. 11 for simple assault.

CECIL TOWNSHIP

Theft: State police arrested David Strohmeyer, 32, of Marianna, Jan. 16. Strohmeyer was wanted by Cecil police for felony theft charges stemming from a December incident. He was turned over to Cecil police and taken to the Washington County Jail where he is being held on a $7,500 bond.

MT. LEBANON

Criminal mischief: Police are investigating a Dec. 30 report of the Internet cable being cut at a home on Hazel Drive.

Windshield broken: A rear car windshield on a car parked on Gilkeson Avenue was reported broken Dec. 30.

Tires slashed: The tires of a car parked on Shady Drive West were reported slashed Jan. 4.

Tires slashed: The tires on several cars parked on a Florida Avenue parking lot were reported slashed Jan. 5.

TV taken: Police are investigating a Dec. 30 burglary on Bower Hill Road, where a television was reported taken.

Money taken: Police said money was taken Dec. 31 from a residence on Old Farm Road.

Theft: A watch was reported stolen Jan. 7 from a residence on Merion Drive.

Clothing taken: Clothing was reported taken from an apartment building laundry Jan. 11 on Bower Hill Road.

PETERS TOWNSHIP

Theft: Police are investigating the theft of $114 worth of nicotine gum from the Giant Eagle in the 4000 block of Washington Road. According to reports, a white man and woman in their late 20s entered the store Jan. 13 and were seen looking at men’s cologne and nicotine gum. When they left the store, two packages of nicotine gum were reported missing. The investigation is continuing.

Burglary: A diamond ring and an Xbox gaming system, along with several games, were reported missing Jan. 13 from a home on Bridle Trail.

Simple assault: Police arrested William J. Lehner, 72, and Gloria Lehner, 65, both of Farmview Road, Jan. 13 following a physical altercation. According to reports, William Lehner had a bite mark on his arm, while Gloria had a contusion above her eye. Both were charged with simple assault.

Criminal mischief: Six juveniles ranging in age from 13 to 15 were picked up by police after overturning a portable bathroom at a construction site on Cortland Drive Jan. 18.
