BETHEL PARK
Theft: John Lowery, 32, of Canonsburg, was arrested Jan. 22 for a theft that took place at Home Depot in the Village Square Mall, police said.
Theft from vehicle: Police said vehicle parts were reported stolen Jan. 22 from a truck parked on Transit Boulevard.
Burglary: A resident in the 700 block of Horning Road reported his residence was broken into Jan. 22 and electronics and jewelry were taken, police said. The incident remains under investigation.
BRIDGEVILLE
Simple assault: Police arrested Mark Seaton, 59, of the 1200 block of Union Street Jan. 22 for simple assault. According to reports, Seaton allegedly punched an unidentified woman in the face and choked her. Police said Seaton was charged with simple assault.
CASTLE SHANNON
Cash taken: Cash was reported taken from a business in the 3400 block of Library Road Jan. 20, police said.
Drug violations: Nicholas DeBartolo, 29, of Kings Lane, Pittsburgh, was arrested on Arch Street Jan. 17 for drug violations, police said.
Public drunkenness: Christopher Coll, 28, of 1216 Middle Street, Pittsburgh, was arrested Jan. 17 for public drunkenness and on an outstanding warrant, police said.
Drug violations: Tyler Dolanch, 24, of 5020 Meadow Avenue, Pittsburgh, was arrested Jan. 21 for drug violations, police said.
CECIL TOWNSHIP
Drug arrest: Heather Woodring, 39, of 424 Phillips Ridge Road, Spraggs, was arrested Jan. 23 in the parking lot of the Turtle Twist ice cream shop on Route 980. According to reports, an officer noticed a car parked in the lot, which is closed for the season. He went to investigate and found Woodring with 28 bags of suspected heroin. Woodring is being charged with possession of a controlled substance, manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended or revoked license. She was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and released from Washington County jail after posting $20,000 bond.
Mt. Lebanon
DUI: Police said Courtney Dippa, 23, Pittsburgh, was arrested Jan. 10 on Brafferton Drive for DUI and accidents involving damage to unattended property.
Fraud: Police said a person on Coolidge Avenue received a phone call from an unknown person regarding an IRS payment on Jan. 17.
Theft: Brad McClellan, 31, Pittsburgh, was arrested Jan. 3 on Parkside Drive for theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, forgery, access device fraud and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
DUI: Mary Spanik, 31, Pittsburgh, was arrested Jan. 16 on Washington Road for DUI, accidents involving unattended vehicle, theft of services and reckless driving, police said.
Fraud: Police said that personal information was used to access a cell phone account Jan. 14 on Inglewood Drive.
PETERS TOWNSHIP
Underage drinking: Peters Township police will charge Michael Soff, 19, of 105 Janice Drive, McMurray, with underage drinking and possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia stemming from a Jan. 21 incident on West McMurray Road, near Canonsburg Lake. According to reports, police noticed fogged car windows. Police said they knocked on the door, which was opened by Soff, and noticed a strong odor of marijuana.
Hurt in wreck: One person was injured in a two-car accident Jan. 24 on Waterdam Road, near the Sherwood interchange. According to police, a car driven by Frances Lucas, 60 of Green Tree Road, Pittsburgh, hit the back of a car driven by Sandra McMahon, 45, of Walnut Drive, Venetia. Both vehicles were eastbound. Tricia May, 43, of Singletree Drive, Venetia, a passenger in the car driven by McMahon, complained of neck pain and was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Both vehicles had to be towed.
Theft: Police are investigating the theft of nine boxes of Plan B One-Step Emergency Contraceptive, valued at $450, from the Walgreen’s on East McMurray Road on Jan. 24. Police said a white man in his 30s with a scruffy beard, who was wearing a camouflage jacket and blue WVU sweatshirt, was seen putting pill boxes in his jacket. When confronted by the store manager, he ran out the store and into his car and drove away at a high speed on East McMurray Road.
UPPER ST. CLAIR
Knocking on doors: Police are investigating reports of a white female in her 30s knocking on doors on Kent and Seegar roads early evening Jan. 18 asking to use the restroom. Nothing was reported missing, but police are investigating whether these incidents may be related to similar cases in Moon and Robinson townships where prescription drugs were reported missing.
Missing: A wheelbarrow valued at $50 was reported missing Jan. 22 from the yard of a house on Rolling Meadow, police said.
Burglary: Police are investigating a Jan. 22 report of a burglary at 100 Village Court. According to police, the rear basement door window was broken and the house was ransacked. It has still not been determined what was taken.
