No difference between deer and cow meat
I have read many articles from both sides about the deer problem in Mt. Lebanon. I think the deer are pretty and hate to see them killed, but at the same time I look at the ways cows, pigs, chickens, lambs, calfs, turkeys, et cetera, are killed.
Have you ever seen the conditions some of these animals are raised in and how they are killed? This is no less humane than the killing of deer. If this meat is used to feed hungry people, isn’t that better than seeing one hit by a car on Washington Road, as I did a week ago?
That deer struggled in pain trying to get up, but could not. It’s cries were difficult to listen to. Meat is meat no matter what animal it comes from. Is it ever humane to kill another living animal?
