Beer Garden Bash

Tickets for Mt. Lebanon Public Library’s sixth annual Beer Garden Bash go on sale July 14.

The library-courtyard event, sponsored by the Friends of the Mt. Lebanon Library, will be held 6-8:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and features more than two dozen ales, lagers, ciders and soft drinks, along with a picnic supper of gourmet hot dogs and steel drum music by local artist Dan Meunier.

Cynthia K. Richey, director of the library, said events such as the Beer Garden Bash raise much-needed funds for the library and increase awareness of the library’s programs and services. “Our busy library serves the community in so many ways: providing help for job seekers, free resources for families on tight budgets, life-long learning opportunities for older adults, early literacy support for young children and more.”

Tickets are available on the library’s website, www.mtlebanonlibrary.org, and at the library’s front desk for the all-inclusive price of $35 (or $50 for those wishing to make a larger, tax-deductible gift to the library). All proceeds will be donated to support books and programs at the library.

Tickets will not be sold the day of the event. Open to adults age 21 and older.
