Bethel Park
Equipment stolen: Michael Brothers on Horning Road reported an outside equipment trailer was broken into and a large amount of landscaping equipment was stolen on July 7. Police are investigating.
Vehicles entered: Five different residents in the Brightwood Road and Bertha Street areas said their vehicles were entered sometime July 7. Police are investigating and said no list of stolen items was available.
Public intoxication: Motorists told police July 11 that Anthony Donatelli, 18, of Pittsburgh, was walking into traffic and displaying erratic behavior. He was cited for public intoxication and released to a family member, police said.
Castle Shannon
Simple assault: Police charged Sascha Craig, 35, of 4525 Monongahela St., Pittsburgh, with simple assault July 7 on Hoodridge Drive.
Cecil Township
Domestic arrest: Tanner Mooney, 18, of 71 Second St., Lawrence, was arrested July 7 and charged with simple assault and harassment. According to reports, Mooney fought off police and was also charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault. He was taken to Washington County Jail and is being held on a $50,000 bond, police said.
Wallet stolen: Denis Gillespie of 6122 Caledonia Court, Bridgeville, told police July 8 someone took his wallet, which contained $17 in cash and credit cards, from the glove box of his unlocked vehicle while he was doing paving work on Network Drive in the Alto Piano housing development.
Mt. Lebanon
Public intoxication and drugs: Kamin Polens, 20, of 859 McNeilly Road, was charged June 26 with public intoxication and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on McNeilly Road.
Underage drinking: Cooper Fabean, 18, of 1386 Terrace Drive, was arrested July 7 on Terrace Drive for possession of marijuana and underage drinking, police said.
Peters Township
One-vehicle accident: A vehicle driven by Daniel V. Henthorne, 40, of Holly Road, Wheeling, W.Va., was southbound on Galley Road in McMurray July 9 when it lost traction began to spin sideways, police said. The vehicle slid off the road and hit a utility pole, knocking down power lines and causing some homes to lose power. According to police, the vehicle went down an embankment and came to rest in a nearby creek. Henthorne was not injured.
DUI and drug paraphernalia: Police stopped Evan Churney, 30, of Smithfield Street, Canonsburg, July 11 at the intersection of Valleybrook and Bebout roads for failing to stop at a stop sign. Police smelled alcohol and saw a glass pipe used to smoke marijuana on the passenger side. Upon searching Churney’s vehicle, police discovered three glass pipes, one wooden pipe and a grinder used to process marijuana. Churney, who was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for a blood test, will be charged with DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, running a stop sign and failure to have the required vehicle registration, police said.
Two-vehicle accident: Michael Gilbert, 23, of Hays Road, Upper St. Clair, was northbound on Route 19 at the intersection of Washington and Old Oak roads when his vehicle was struck on the passenger-side quarter panel by a vehicle driven by Irene J. Gordon, 80, of Old Oak Road. Gordon said she thought she had a green light. Gilbert’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
South Fayette
Signs damaged: An address sign was stolen and other signs were vandalized July 12 in the 6000 block of Belle Terre Court, Bridgeville. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
House vandalized: Police said the word “Help” was written in red paint marker on windows on the windows of a house on Degrave Road in Morgan July 11. The incident remains under investigation.
Mail theft: Three mail-order prescriptions were taken from the mailbox of a home in the 300 block of Grail Hill Court in Oakdale on July 10, police said.
Disorderly conduct: Police arrested Daniel Lee, 54, of Oak Street, Cuddy, July 10, for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
