Dormont Library presents special tribute to Japanese history

Hiroshima and Nagasaki: 70 Years Later
Dormont Public Library will hold a special tribute to Japanese history and culture on Aug. 8.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki: 70 Years Later, offered in partnership with the Japan-America Society of Pennsylvania, will take place at 2 p.m. and feature an interactive demonstration of a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, a performance of the koto musical instrument, and the unveiling of a special project completed by members of the library staff and volunteers from the public and the Origami Club of Pittsburgh over several months.
