musicSPACE Summer Concert Series
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces the summer line up for its 2015 musicSPACE Series, featuring all-ages performances on the last Friday of each month and showcasing the Cultural District and Pittsburgh musicians.
On July 31, The Wreckids and Mark Dignam will perform, and on Aug. 28 The Commonheart and Gypsy and His Band of Ghosts will take the stage.
The Wreckids (formerly Scotts Roger), a husband and wife acoustic duo currently living in Pittsburgh, performs a mix of lively, easy going folk featuring comical, thoughtful lyrics paired with beautiful, lilting harmonies.
The Commonheart, a local band of up and coming artists, combine gritty vocals and a screaming organ to deliver rock ‘n’ roll with a heavy blues, soul and gospel influence. Gypsy and His Band of Ghosts, a local folk and rock band, likes inspiring others to enjoy life.
Doors open at 8 p.m. with music beginning at 8:30. All concerts take place at SPACE gallery, 812 Liberty Ave.
Tickets are $5 at the door, and all proceeds benefit the artists.
