Bethel Park

Tool theft: A contractor told police tools were taken from his truck bed May 22 while he was inside Lowes on Baptist Road.

Wallet stolen: Police are investigating the theft of a wallet from a woman’s purse that took place while she was shopping at the Giant Eagle Market District May 23.

Warrant arrests: During a traffic stop at Rite Aid on Library Road May 26, police discovered both occupants had warrants for their arrest. Police arrested Janet Pyszka, 49, of Bethel Park, on a warrant out of Washington County and Kala Gatalski, 25, of Bethel Park, on a warrant out of the Allegheny County sheriff’s office.

Business burglarized: Police are investigating a burglary May 27 at Home City Ice on Industrial Boulevard May 27. According to reports, the driver’s daily receipts box containing business checks and money orders was taken.

Bridgeville

Retail theft: Ryan Schultz, 19, of South Fayette was cited for retail theft after taking eye drops May 18 from the Rite Aid in Bridgeville.

Castle Shannon

DUI and drug violations: Lacoya Overton, 20, of 721 E. 12th St., Erie, was arrested May 27 in the 3900 block of Library Road for DUI and drug violations, police said.

Cecil Township

Two-vehicle accident: A Muse man was arrested May 24 for leaving the scene of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of O’Hare and Muse-Bishop roads in Cecil. According to police, a motorcycle driven by David Tilger, 52, of 14 Maple Street struck the back of a car driven by Tracey O’Neil, of 3274 Millers Run Road, Cecil. Police arrested Tilger at his Maple Street residence for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

Bricks thrown: Police said on May 27 bricks were thrown into an above-ground swimming pool belonging to Doris Ferragonio, 84 Windcrest Drive, Cecil, causing $6,000 to $7,000 in damages.

Peters Township

Drug arrest: Police found Melissa L. Linton, 38, of Hunting Creek Road, Canonsburg, slumped over the wheel of her car shortly after noon May 30 behind the McDowell Shops on Washington Road. In her vehicle, police found stamp bags and a syringe. Linton was charged with DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.

DUI and speeding: Police charged Jacob John Zoeller, 21, of Sunrise Lane, Leechburg, with DUI and driving at a unsafe speed May 30 in the 2800 block of Washington Road. According to police, Zoeller passed a marked Peters Township police car at a high rate of speed. He failed a field sobriety test and was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for a blood draw.
