At Bible Baptist Church, Carnegie, Mom’s Morning Out will be offered 9 a.m.-noon June 13. Bring children age 4 through fourth grade on the second Sunday of each month and caring adults will provide a safe and fun environment for them while you enjoy your time out. Discuss the book, “I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban” by Malala Yousafzai, the youngest-ever nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. Join in the discussion of this remarkable story of a Pakistani family uprooted by global terrorism, of her fight for girls’ education and of her parents’ love for their daughter in a society that prizes sons.

At Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church, “A Little Jazz Mass” by Bob Chilcott will be incorporated into its worship liturgy at 9:30 a.m. June 7. The Chancel Choir will be accompanied by Pittsburgh Symphony bassist Jeff Grubbs and percussionist Andrew Reamer.
